Mahogany Empire Poster Bed

Being offered for sale is an American Empire Bed circa 1860. A wonderful 4 post bed with canopy top, the top is not original. The octagon and square post are topped with large turnings. The headboard features three small panels with a shaped carved crest. There is some veneer chipping here and there, I would say minimal for the age of the bed. I believe you would need to get a custom mattress as the bed is somewhere between full and queen. This is a statement making bed and would add a WOW factor to bedroom.
